1. About the service
SolarSetu is an online marketplace that helps customers estimate solar savings, collect bids and hire independent installers. We are not the installer and do not perform installation work.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that provide false information or misuse the platform.
3. Estimates and bids
Calculator results and vendor bids are preliminary estimates based on the information provided. Final scope and price are confirmed after a site visit and written agreement between customer and vendor.
4. Vendors
Vendors must hold valid trade licenses and use certified equipment where required. Verification badges reflect documents reviewed at the time of approval and may be removed if standards are not maintained.
5. Payments and escrow
Deposits are held in escrow and released to the vendor after the customer confirms installation is complete, or as resolved through the dispute process. Platform and paperwork fees are shown before you pay.
6. Disputes
If a problem arises, open a dispute from your account. Held funds remain protected while we review evidence from both sides. Manufacturer and vendor warranties continue to apply.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses or for the acts of independent vendors. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
